TOC Analyzer for water and process water, as condensate return and cooling water
LAR’s QuickTOCeco is an online analyzer for the Total Organic Carbon (TOC) in water and process water, as condensate return and cooling water. At 1,200°C, the samples are completely oxidized, and the TOC result is determined within 3 minutes. The new online TOC analyzer can also determine COD and BOD values using correlation factors.
The measurement system is controlled by a user-friendly 4″ PLC with touch screen.
Features and Benefits
Exact determination of TC, TOC (TRUE TOC)
Measurement Range: 1 – 10.000 ppm TOC, further options available
Correlation to BOD and COD possible
Highest combustion temperature available (1,200°C)
Response Time TOC: < 2 min. (TC); < 3-4 min. (TOC)
Online determination of TOC, TC and NPOC according to DIN EN 1484:1997-08/ ISO 8245:1999-03/ US-EPA 415.1, Standard Methods 5310B, ASTM D5173, USEPA 9060 und DIN 38409-H3

Housings
For safe operation in hazardous areas, there are different protection housings available:
There are two different method used in the determination process:
1- TConly method: The sample is transferred to the ceramic furnace, which oxides sample to CO2 at 1,200 ° C. The water vapor produced by oxidation is condensated by a cooler, remaining corrosive gases are then captured by the filters and CO2 continues to flow in the line thought to NDIR sensor and the output gives the result.
2- TOC Direct Method: The sample is first acidified with a diluted hydrochloric acid in TIC (Total Inorganic Carbon) reactor. There, carrier gas continually flows through the sample. Because of the low pH value (<2), the inorganics are removed from the sample. At the end of this process, it continues as TConly method.
